I started my own Phytoplankton cultures today. Melevsreef.com - Phytoplankton Here is is my first culture .I should have 3 bottles of live phytoplankton ready on Sat.The other container in the photo are rotifers .My corals should like that snack.

I have had a green algae problem for a while so I purchased a phosphate test kit .MY phosphate reading is 0.1 ppm,but I have no info on the reading .Is this good or bad .Could this be my algae problem and if it is what can I do to lower the phosphates .Here is a picture to show the algae.Thanks

Finally got back to building a refuge .I was stuck on the ideal .When I went to the meeting of the Chattanooga Reef Club I seen Chris's refuge and that looked good to me .So i took his design and went to work and this is the outcome.Marine Algae complements of Chris .(Thanks)

I got 2 new corals today that I purchased at the 2nd Bi-annual Chattanooga Frag Swap a torch and a green star polyp.I also got to meet Chris and Pterois .Chris was a nice guy ,and Pterois was very nice lady.There were more frags there than I thought there would be .I had a good time .

What is This I have a piece of live rock in my reef tank that as this all over it .I do not no what it is .I thought somebody could tell what it is and if it is OK or not .
