How much live rock and would you be able to ship it? I might also take the xenia and the fox coral if you can. I need to find out if I have enough light for them.
I couldn't say about the niger or the bluechin but as for the picasso and the bursa most likely they will eat them. I feed mine frozen clams on the half shell and it is their VERY FAVORITE FOOD! Maybe Dr. Marco could tell you since he has the more reef friendly triggers.
What about a dottyback? Mononichthys splendens. (Splendid dottyback) Or Mononicthys Alleni or Pseudochromis aldabraensis Arabian Bluelined Dottyback. Pretty striking color pattern. There are lots of small ones but some of them can get up to 5". You may want to check them out.
Nigers get really big also. Some 18"-19". Not recommended by most in less than 100 gal. But I have seen some sights say they can be kept in 60 gal. I think your 45 is still to small.
I don't have any sps as I only have 260 watts on a 100 gal. but he hasn't bothered my pagoda or my gorgonians. They are not supposed to be reef safe; but then neither is my picasso. They are still rather young. (4''-5'') so ??? If you want a trigger, Odonus niger (Niger trigger)...

Thanks for the reply, Yes the fish seem healthy. No signs of ich or anything else. They have been at 1.016 for the last 2.5 weeks. Was going to drop it to 1.012 but have been waiting on a refractometer before I took it that low just to be sure of accuracy. I thought another 3 weeks at the...
I think thats it. The one I saw was more of a dark charcol grey color but the description sounds right. Cant believe I've never seen any before. There not exactly small. He was just crawling around in broad daylight, but so are all the other creatures that normally hide. I hope they have...
I used the water from my tank when I set mine up. If your parameters are all good it is supposed to help cycle the new tank. ( or thats what I read, I still had a cycle but I had some pretty large fish going into a 10 and 20 gal. tank)
Maybe someone with more exp. will answer since this is my...
Does anyone know what this guy is. It is amazing the things Im finding crawling around in my tank now that all the predators are gone.
It moves just like a snail but has no shell
3 months??? I thought the ich cycle was 3 weeks. Not arguing with you just questioning because I've had all my fish out for about 2.5 weeks and was looking forward to putting them back in in another 3 weeks. Added a couple just to be safe but I hadn't planned on 3 months. Does it really take...
Hi, Sorry to hear about your problems. I've not got a lot of experience with ich other that recently but my suggestion is to get a qt tank going as quickly as possible. I tried the garlic and let him fight it off method and it seemed to be working for about 3 weeks. (My Tang was still eating...
Well, I have brine shrimp, baby brine shrimp, mysid shrimp, daphnia, plankton, and krill in the freezer now. Which would you recommend. All are in the cube form except the brine shrimp.
Right, I realize anything I add to supplement will help my light intensity but I guess what Im asking is, is 36 watts of T5 comparable to 130 watts of pc's? Or is is better. My lfs says I should be able to keep most softs and some lps now if I keep them up high.
So adding something like those to the 260 I currently have in pc's would be equivalent to doubling my lighting or not that much? (I run two 30" across a 5' tank. 60" is hard to find)
