Wlecome to Living Reefs! That looks like brooklynella to me. The fish would have needed baths with medication, or placed in a qt and dose the water with meds that way. Brooklynella is a rapid killer. Couple days at the most and fish are usually dead. Good info here...

2yrs old - factory stand..... It's probably fine, but I would want to reinforce it with glue and screws if any part of it looked shady, after you take a closer look at it. Those stands are built with solid pine boards and the top rim sits into a routered edge to transfer all the weight down...

I thought about my response above. If I seem harsh, it's because seeing another post like this is quite frankly, irritating and saddening. If the OP had done even a LITTLE research, and had any concern for the live animals in the tank, that person would have waited a lot longer than 2 weeks to...

I wouldn't have done it the same way. I'd recommend going a lot slower when introducing livestock to a new tank. On my first reef tank, I think I waited 4 or 5 weeks. The short answer is, your tank is probably still cycling. You may not have enough good aerobic bacteria built up to handle...

Is it a PVC bulkhead? PVC pipe? Then, yes I would use solvent on both. It softens and etches the plastic to prepare for glue. Without primer or solvent, you really aren't glueing (fusing) anything together.
