Purigen is rechargeable, so I recharge it once a month. I change the carbon sponge every three weeks about.

    aquariumgirl's Reefs

I chose the AquaClear 110 b/c I could stuff little bits of live rock and the skimmer sits nicely on the back of the supported filter. For media I have live rock, and carbon sponge and purigen. Also the filter is the source of all the current in the tank.

    aquariumgirl's Reefs

Try taking a picture at an angle, usually I find that if I take a picture looking straight into the tank all I see in the end is the flash. Also, try getting more light into the room so the flash doesn't go off. It takes me a few time to get the picture I want. The only thing I use in photoshop...

    Baby suncorals?

I'm pretty sure they are suncorals, here is another picture. It's not a very good one cause I don't have zoom, but is shows the color more (yellow/orange). Most stony corals spawn; sun corals, frogspawn, open brains, etc.

    Baby suncorals?

Protopalythoa is the green zoanthid, right? and Acrozoanthus is the tree polyps? The little polyps I have are very bright yellow (I don't think it the green zoanthid), but their bodies aren't long and slender (more rounder) and the tentacles are long but sort of short. I'll keep trying to take a...
