OK. Does anything go between the water and the bulbs? Because my current hood wouldn't work correctly. How do you guys cover your tanks with lights like this?

So would the 20" lights from Nova be sufficient for a reef tank that is 45g that and 36"?

Quick question. My tank is a 45g but is exactly 36in wide. If I'm aiming for 5 wpg, can I find fixtures like that? I checked Nova Extreme Pro because I really like their reviews, but they make a 20" which would give me 2 and some wpg, but their next size up is a 36" which would give me 5.2...

Forgot to mention... For the things I plan to buy online, is it ok if I post links on here asking if what the object in question is suitable for my tank and/or I'm getting it at the right price?

A lighting fixture--sorry. .

OK, thank you. Next, can anyone recommend me good lighting? Will I have to build a custom hood to fit everything under or can I find hoods and bulbs online or at the LFS to give me approx. 5 watts/gallon? Any suggestions on specific equipment?

Oh and how many GPH should they each be?

Are powerheads just pumps that you put into your tank and plug in? Like do they go on the wall or something? Also, how many should I get for a 45 gallon?

I've been reading about sumps and am getting pretty familiar with them. Do you need a "fuge" in them? And if so, what is that?
