Traded my 2 chromis for a blue knuckle hermit. I had to take the rock out to get the fish, and when i rearranged it i found a baby mushroom! :helm2: Here is the crab, hes much nicer in person

I was researching hydroids and found some cool animals that live in these "floating mats". I have been dolphin fishing along the weed lines, but i never new how much wildlife lives in this stuff. Its amazing, and if you live in Florida you can find most of this stuff on the beach! Assorted...

It is approximately 2 to 3 millimeters in diameter. The main body part is a white ball that is 1 millimeter in diameter. Extending from the body are "legs". They could be segmented, not sure, but they do have white bands. They look like they are sweeping the water, but they could just be moving...

HOB SKIM + FUGE or just a really powerful skimmer? What would keep nitrates down better. I dont have a sump and have limited space on the back of the tank, and what does over skimming mean?? :bowdown:

i live in Florida, and there is a lot of live rock that is aquacultured limestone.Lime stone is a heavy rock, and it leaches phosphates. it's okay in fish only tanks, but obviously not good for corals. does anyone else know about this because it seems like a lot of people on here are buying this...

can you put the container for the water under the sink? i wont be making much water.

can i just buy the $82 50 GPD RO/DI pure water club, or do i also have to get special fittings and attachments? Can i hook it up to a sink and still be able to use it? i have never delt with these.

My tank is a month old 30L. Im starting to get brown algae on my sand. should i stir my sand? Is this going to die and make ditritus and nitrates. Should i get some hermit crabs, maybe they will eat this stuff. I have a rock in there and its starting to grow over the purple coraline.

i have a 29 long with a canister filter and a HOB filter. I put the coralife 2 96 watt PC lights. I have 1 rock and a chromis. Its been running for about two weeks now. I think this is the best part when the tank is new, and thinking about what to add. :coolgleem
