    i know what you are talking about. if it's fish, then not really. usually the algae eating fish require an algae diet or they will get sick. and the ones that dont require special algae diets wont eat the kind of algae you would like them to eat. go with inverts. hermits, snails, etc.

    im betting that it's either unhealthy fish from the store or acclimation. drip acclimation is the best. ive seen fish just chilling like it was nothing in aquariums with high nitrates lol

    oh. well how it was discovered was that a broken part of a coral fell on another one. soon it started to glow. i know what you are talking about with the fish. ive seen that stuff. its messed up.

    i just read a magazine article about intentionally infecting your coral with Green Fluorescent Protein to give them a green glow. i read it can also be purple. Has anyone ever tried it?

    nope. they are scavengers. if you fed them special food, they wouldnt be doing their job lol.

    for the hermits. they do a lot of weird things that make no sense at all lol. ive had some just stay inside their shells for long periods of time and they turn out fine, so you dont need to worry about them. when you see one with no shell, then he's in trouble
