Soon I will be purchasing either a 125 gallon tank or a 150 gallon tank. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a live sand method. I know some people purchase sand and put a couple bags of live sand on top of it. Can anyone give me any advice on how I should tackle this, 125-150 pounds...

Well I am saving for a nice 150 gallon tank, hopefully he can hold out for about 3 more months.

I just got the 3100 myself, man just keep it on auto till your comfortable then start playing with it on manual.

So I'm thinking my two clown fish killed my new black and white clownfish. Is there a certain way to buy clown fish with the tank already inhabbited by a couple? I would really like one more.

This damsel is pretty tame, keeps to himself and like to hang out in the caves in my live rock and the other two clowns are not to much bigger than the new guy. One seems interested in the new clown he keeps swimming up and turning on his side.

I just got a new black and white clown fish, he is just hanging behind the filter all the way at the top of the tank, almost like he is hiding...is this normal?

So lately I have been noticing critters in my tank I never purchased which is kind of weirding me out for instance this creature has recently started making an appearance. Anyonee know what it is? I have had this tank and live rock since october, have no idea where it came from.

Yes he is still eating but it looks like he is struggling a little to get food into his mouth.

No being that it is a small tank I only have 3 fish. Black and White Clownfish, Black and White Damsel and a False Percula.

My black and white clownfish lips seem to be swollen. I have searched his body I see no signs of Ich, I am a little worried. Any ideas on what this could be?

Wow that's nice, thanks for the info, now I'm in a catch 22. My local fish store assured me this little guy would be fine in my tank, they even said that it was a fine size for him. That sort of makes me upset, though the shop cant be blamed i guess. The thing is its a salt water fish store...

I am scared my boxfish has ich. He isn't acting strange at all, swimming normal and has a huge appitite. Thoughts?
