I have these on a couple of my rocks. I have no clue what they are. I'm guessing maybe sponges? Strangest thing is they are completely white.

    Help Identifying Zoas

Ok I have these two zoas and I really don't know what they are called. This one the pink is much brighter, almost a metalic pink. I'm thinking this might be a devils armor. This one came in on my blue xenia frag that I got for free. I'm thinking this might be an eagle eye. Sorry about...

    What are these?

I have a ton of these growing on my Tonga rock and have noticed one growing out of the base rock. What are they? The part with the black arrow pointing moves and the part with the red arrow is hard.

    Feather Duster?

This thing looks kinda like a feather duster, if a snail gets too close it retracts into the sand. Though I hadn't heard of them being in the sand.

    Cardinal Death

In case you didn't read it in my build thread, my cardinal died last night. I checked on the tank around midnight and everyone was fine then. I wake up this morning and the cardinal is stuck to the fish guard. So this is causing everything in my brain to go in circles. He ate some mysis on...

    Do I dare?

Add some CUC to combat the hair algae that is starting to form? Today is the first day that the the nitrites have been zero, but the rates are still around 10. If its safe what should I look for? I'm thinking minimal cuc maybe 1 dwarf cerith, 1 nassarius, 1 florida cerith, 1 nerite.

Testing Equipment for those who are color blind

You know I ran into someone on nano-reefs that is color blind and running into an issue of testing with the API tests. He is having to run around and ask people in his apartment complex asking them what color the results are. So I started digging around to see what kind of digital testers are...

    What are these?

They are less than a quarter inch long. This kind of tells you how big they are. You can kinda see them on the rock.

    CUC help

Okay, I am trying to figure out when the time comes what I will need to get for the CUC. I really don't like hermit crabs, so unless my son insists I would like to avoid them. This is what I am thinking so far, but how many I am unsure of. Cleaner shrimp Nerite snails Mexican Turbo snails...

    Live Rock and Cycling

I was just curious on how long on average does it take for you to see the ammonia and nitrites to start to build once you put live rock in your tank? I put mine in on Saturday and they are reading 0's. I'm figuring that its WAY too soon to start reading anything but I'm trying to figure out when...

    Damselfish

My semi-LFS has these black with lighter blue (almost an electric blue) striped damsel fish. I was just curious on what the specific name of these would be. I asked, but the owner only had time to say they were damsels (he was helping someone else at the time and I didn't want to pester him too...
