    After-cycle quiestion.

sadly enough I used a Damsel and he still thriving well, and he still bothers my other fish he is at least 9 years old, so yea dont use damsels unless you have a huge tank so they will keep to their area

Tigger pods I have heard many rumors that they will not live in warm water, but i have added them many times to my tank and there are still in there right now :) Reef Nutrition FAQ / Tigger-Pods FAQ here

    New to reefing

This is not true Reverse Osmosis is not as pure as DI ( deionized water), RO leaves many things in the water while (DI) will remove most if not all, this is why many water tests are conducted solely with DI and not RO because RO can contaminate test results so if in fact you are using RO to...

    Black Worm Like things!!

The class of marine worms is so diverse that a pic would serve best because there are so many of them that share similar morphology, but are different species all together. I would start by looking through pictures of nematodes and annelids species, even then its trying to find a needle in hay...

    New to reefing

I wouldnt use distilled water because all nutrients are removed in this process I would stick to RO/ or Nsw, distilled it ok for toping off, but this is just my personal opinion

    Nothing growing in the sump?

try but adding some type of reef pods any type of cope pods, they ll grow in time also a piece of nice marco algae makes for a nice refuge for them to breed and grow with harm from other tank inhabitants

    green algae

I would test for phosphates and get yourself a phosphate median, also if you can turn off all water flow and siphon some out daily that also helps, but most all just make sure you get rid of its food source. nitrate/phosphate/ silicate and also make sure the RO/DI water your getting is good...

Whats your thought on Red Sea MAX 250 65-gallon Reef Aquarium System

whats your price range? ;) I would say for starting into this hobby it would be a good choice, kinda pricey to me. My personal opinion is a drilled tank with wet dry/refrigerium allows for a better protein skimmer addition. I would shop around and see what you like best :) Patience is a...

    Lighting Debate

I agree with bifferwine, also why have the the lowest requirement rather than just something better or something of more sustenance; then not having to worry at all. Thats just my opinion, if you had to run a race and you had a full glass of water and one 1/3 full which is best for you to...

pics of my coral and fish (just starting 1st saltwater tank)

Corals take in carbon dioxide and water and their by products are lipids, sugar and oxygen. Fish and other invertebrates add to more of the waste than coral, so I would be careful in adding more fish or invertebrates in a short span of time. Mark

    Hi :)

Now I would say that website is much better.
  16. markymark

    Hi :)

Just saying a information website would mostly likely have much better knowledge than a website trying to sell something since most pander to their clients, and for 7 or 8 they would not be a good solution, because they would starve rather quickly.
  17. markymark

    Hi :)

Actually you do need more than one, read a website that is not interested in selling them. Also a friend of mine who lives near me study's them and also breeds them. You can think what you wish though. I will agree with consistent use of aiptasia X for best results. Mark
  18. markymark

    Hi :)

Aiptasia X will only worsen your problem in the future, I know this from experience, it only irritates the anemone which make it release many buds in which you will not see after the initial use; the problem may seem better but in longevity of things you will see many more Aiptasia popping up...

    red slime gone

Lowering the light can help work, cyanobacteria stores food :( but water are your best bet because you need to remove its food source, also make sure that the water your using is low in silicate, siphoning always worked for me, everyday till its gone mark
