    Fuzzy Chiton yes or no?

I have a 300 gallon tank I just scubbed my rocks about two weeks ago but the algae is slowly coming back. I was reading about the fizzy chiton on reefcleaners web site and would like some input. Do they do a good job? How many should I add to my size tank?

Yellow Serpent Starfish Dying or not?

I'll keep an eye of him and see if he will take some food. Maybe I'll get lucky but 14 years I figured it was going to be time eventually.

Yellow Serpent Starfish Dying or not?

Well I have two serpent starfish one red and the other yellow. They are both about 14 years old and have been great. The yellow one I noticed a few weeks ago look like it was sliced open by one of the arms and the inside was visible. Today I woke up to find one of the arms completely off! It...

    I've tried peroxide

So I was at the LFS store yesterday and the guy on duty and I spoke in detail about the different tankset ups they run. :twocents: Come to find out he shared with me that their main reef tand where the corals are placed for sale was treated a few months back with a drip of hydrogen peroxide. He...

Elimination of drip tray bad for oxygenation?

Over the past 9 months I have slowing taking out all the bios balls in my wet dry for my 300 gallon FOWLR tank.. Since doing that my drip tray obviously has nothing under it other than the drop to the water level. This creates a constant splas which according to the LFS is creating a great...

Orange spot goby making a mess! Ditritus all over the place! HELP!

Actually he picked the best rock. The rock is on top of the sand but this one rock is not holding large pieces but just the end tips of two rocks to create a ledge. No avalanche with this one. Got lucky. I'm hoping three weeks from now I will be in the positioned you stated earlier! Keeping...

Flatwrom exit works great. I have done it twice since I have had my tand with no loss of life except the flatworms. I would do the water change as suggested.

Orange spot goby making a mess! Ditritus all over the place! HELP!

I see the starfish all the time at LFS but have never purchased based on biffer's many posts on them. Noone I know has had them for over a year but with a DSB that is 15 years old I sometimes wonder if one would work. Anyways I thought maybe the nassarius tonga would be good but I will have to...

Orange spot goby making a mess! Ditritus all over the place! HELP!

Good to hear that you experienced it. He has been busy for sure and I notice he really has just stuck to the very top (quarter inch) of the sand so I'm not worried about him digging at this point too deep to create a problem. Will just be patient for a few weeks and see what happens. Will also...
