This slimy green mess is taking over my tank and is covering rocks and sand. In a few places it is long and stringy and "billows" in the water column. what can be done with this stuff?

I havent seen my six line in 3 days. Is this normal for them, to hide in the rocks for days at a time? He cant jump out and he was fine when I last saw him. I hope its alright because I cant see him anywhere.

I finally got a couple of pics of my new additions. I had added a six-line Wrasse last Friday and today got a Sleeper Green Banded Goby. That goby is fun to watch as he goes about sifting through the sand.

With the cycle finished a week ago I went ahead and got a six line Wrasse to start things off. He is alot of fun to watch. The LFS didnt have a sand sifting Goby so it will have to wait. Now I need something that would go well with the wrasse.

Should I keep adding food to the tank during the cycle or stop after the ammonia spikes? Right now ammonia is 0, nitrites are 0 and nitrates are 5.

I have noticed lately that around the edges of the tank the sand is turning a dark to medium grayish color. Some of it is shallow while some is quite deep and it goes from bottom upwards. Any ideas?

I have a 216w quad T5HO with 4 led's and I am thinking of running the actinics 1 hour before the daylights come on until 1 hour after with the daylights on for 8 hours. What do yall think of that schedule? I know I want to have corals later on. Also, when should the led's be on?

The water leak issue finally got fixed so everything is back up and running so I went ahead and checked to see if there was any ammonia yet and the reading was .5 ppm.
