How long can I keep water in my mixing can before I use it? I made some water about three weeks ago and am finally getting around to using it. It has been in a Brut trash can with lid, heater and two pumps to circulate the water. Safe to use or should I dump it and start over?

Oh, I am getting some sand shifting every night. Two years ago I bought a 4" engineer goby to help do that. Today that sucker is over 15 inches and has a good time shifting things around. unfortunately, he hides and i very rarely see more than his head poking out.

i was doing about 30-40 gallons every other week. I had not been cleaning the sand bed in the past and started siphoning again recently to help get the numbers down. I was pulling up some pretty dirty looking stuff and was hoping the snails would help with it.

I don't have the parems near me, but the lighting is 2 AI Sol Blue's in a 90g tank. They are on the AI timer with a 12 hour day - peaking at around 80%. Not coming off with fan blowing on it. There is another anemone in the tank on the other side that is flourishing.

I have 2 hydor 1400 circulation pumps connected to a hydor smart wave. When the fans startup, they make a knocking noise that scares my fish. I called Hydor and they that it is just the way it is. Nothing can be done. Make sense?
