I've never bought a scraper. I use scrubbers for my algea. They're cheap to make as well, that is if you want to build one yourself. In case you guys are interested in building a scrubber, I'll link you to this thread...
Those are some very nice lights. I don't know much about them, but since your tank is rectangular, I would try mounting the lights parallel to the tank. Oh, and welcome to the forum!
