yes 8 foot 225 gal. she is our new foster baby I put her their with some jazz on and we are both happy. btw the tvmonted above the tank but we watch the tank more than the tv when its on.
I do 50 gal change. I have a large 50 gal plastic tub placed on a furniture dolly takes my r/o a day to fill i place 2 power heads and a heater in there for salt mixing. i have an all plastic sump pump that bumps back into the tank.
tap the hydro real good to get the air bubbles out. one little air bubble will mess up the reading. also might want to stop using tap water switch to r/o or distiled water
mine stays at 82 and I have both heaters adjusted to 71 sitting inside the sump. I would like is a little lower but it the lowest the heaters will adjust to. I never see the heat light turn on (except water changes) I run LED light dont think that is the prob.
on big tanks acrylic is the way to go. I was looking at a 500 gal glass and the tank weigh about 1000 lbs empty I was going to have to use my motorcycle lift just to raise it onto its stand.
Im new at this, but if you cant test the water you won't hurt anything by doing a change. but you prob wont find out the cause if it was the water. how are the other tank mates. if it was the water they would be affected to.
