    CUC and High Nitrates

I really don't think adding snails is the answer. How much water do you change when you do water changes and how often do you do water changes? If your water isn't being changed enough that could account for excess nitrates.

Banging My Head Against The Wall

True, but IF you use water from your DT don't need to cycle the QT.

Banging My Head Against The Wall

Personally, I would use copper for the QT just because it's stronger and Kich-ich for DT if it pops up. But I understand that being a hassle. I always recommend doing 25% water changes, which is about 18 gallons for a 75 gallon. So maybe start doing 20 gallon water changes and you'll remove more...

Banging My Head Against The Wall

In all truth a quarantine tank would be very easy to maintain. All you need is a filter, some form of water movement or maybe an air pump, and a place for fish to feel comfortable. Now going back to the hiding place for fish, do not have live rock or sand in a quarantine tank. This is because...

    Spongey's 60 gal. Reef Build

Hey everybody! So this build is probably gonna take a long time and since I already have the tank and stand, I decied to start this showcase. Anyway, all that I have for now is pics of the tank and stand so yeah. I haven't really done much to it yet, because we're moving really soon. Also note...

Hey everyone, I've finally found a tank and I think I'm gonna jump on it. It's a 75g with a stand, 125g skimmer, pre drilled, fuge, wavemakers a pump and more, only $200! So anyway this list is meant for 220g which is the biggest tank I want in the future, so once I have the list sorted out I'll...

    Lion fish?

No, you cant have clowns, blennies, basslets, dottybacks, chromis, dartfish, dragonettes, cardinalfish or small wrasse. List probably goes on. Now if you want a FOWLR lions are great! If I were setting up a tank around a lion. I'd go with lions, scorps, possibly goatfish but not sure and I'd get...

    When to add nems

So I was thinking. Almost everyone here supports adding nems at least 1 year into the hobby. But nems sting other corals, so

    New fish stocking ?

Well for starters, most gobies, jawfish and Madarins eat from the bottom of the tank (I don't recommend madarins for a new reefer) And honestly anything else goes where ever the food is, except lions and scorpions. Maybe you should just pick out a bunch of fish you want (doesn't matter if it's...
