I'm not sure about those lights. I went with 3 ecoray 72DXs over my 125gal. I know how it is to be on a budget all I had for a year was T8s, just remember you get what you pay for. Keep us updated on how it goes.

I'll tag along. I use tap water for my topoff after letting it sit for 24hrs.

I'm currently using two, two bulb t8s so I've gotta do something, and if I can get LEDs for around $800 then I may as well.

I forgot to mention they use 3w Cree LEDs.

It will use a little calcium but that's it. My tank is full of it and I think it looks great.

You might be able to use some base board and if you have a router you could put a design on the bottom edge or just leave it square.

I still have to get the bottom glass, and get the end drilled for a overflow box. I'm thinking of using a large overflow box and putting the return pump in it and see if I can section it off like a sump.

It's was a 55L but I decided to make it 24L by 14D and I left the height the same at 21" I think.

These sponge looking things are growing like crazy in the intake part of my sump and on the underside of some of my rocks it seems to like shade. It has a hole that goes all the way to the bottom in the middle, it doesn't respond to touch I even took one out to put in a glass for some of these...

I try and keep my temp at 77-80 but I think most fish can stand temps up to 86 but I'm not sure on that. Do you have a glass top, what's the room temp, is your sump open?

I was just saying scoring is the method I used to cut it. Is there a reason I shouldn't do that? My plan is to basically half the tank for a nano reef in my living room.
