I think its aiptasia. To find out for sure, put a couple peppermint shrimp in the tank. If the shrimp eat it up then it is for sure aiptasia.

I finally got it figured out. My API test kit was wrong on the readings so I invested in a better test kit -Salifert.

pH 7.8 and Kh over 215ppm after a 30% water change 7 days ago. 2 days ago I did a 10% water change and now pH is at 8.2 but the kH is till over 215ppm. What am I doing wrong?

When was last time u cleaned your tubing? When junk builds up in them it can keep nitrates high

I've heard of reefers directly putting ice on the aptasia to kill them off so I would think lowering the water temp of the tank as a whole would kill them all off. I've only tried the direct injection of hydrogen peroxide last week on 3 of those little boogers I noticed growing and that helped.

You can also get some sand sifting starfish to help sift and aereate the sandbed

I bought some pricey Rastas (luckily there were only 3). After about 1 week I noticed they shrank then dissappeared.I noticed that one of My other zoas are starting to do the same. Any suggestions?
