I'd get a mini de-humidifier for the back room if I was you. Would be a great help in keeping the room and everything dry since you'll have quite a big evap from such a big tank.

I really hope so. Fire shrimps are a pretty penny here in the UK. I think it works out to $48.

They aren't the pattern spots of the shrimp. These came after. Here's a picture from a day after I bought the shrimp. You can see the same side doesn't have that many spots.

That's probably because the valve is fully open. When I start to close it, the noise starts to ease away, but when I do this, the flow of the bubbles also goes down. I can't have it both ways, and even when it's the noisy way, it's still not functioning correctly. In a bit of a pickle here.
