    WTB: Aussie Orange Wall Hammer

I had a orange wall hammer before, had it for nearly a year before selling it for a new tank. Still alive in buyers tank, also know someone who has had and Aussie orange hammer for ~4 years, he has even fragged it a few times without losin a frag. I have never heard of them struggling in a home...

    Red Honey Damsel

You may get lucky and he stays docile (the damsel I mean). The blenny sounds like a normal one to me. If I didn't have the yellow tang in my system I would add some time of blenny. Neat creatures and yes they have quite the personality.

    Red Honey Damsel

It was honestly very difficult. We had three co-owners and we thought we could make it work around our full time work schedules but in the end the time put it wasn't worth the side income. We made a lot of great friends while we were open which is something I miss. I wouldn't mind giving it...

    Red Honey Damsel

When I owned and operated a saltwater store I had one in. Sold the same day, the guy came back the next week saying it was a quarter the Size of his other damsels and wanted to return it because it kept chasing all the damsels and pinned his clowns to a corner. Cool looking fish but had one heck...

    Dead fish and unhappy coral?

Salinity is definitely high. I run 1.024, I know the norm is 1.026 but that is too high for fish stress in my opinion. Your alk seems a little low as well which might be bothering the torch coral. The fish death does sound like stray voltage. Are the other fish in your tank jumpy? Stray voltage...

fresh batch of water, red sea coral pro.

Red Sea Coral Pro was the first salt I used, my old LFS got me to switch to Reef Crystals. I didn't see an improvement but I did see a reduction in growth. I switched back to Red Sea Coral Pro now and I see improvement in color and I am hoping I see an improvement in growth as I did before. My...

    best type of salt

I am just going by my personal water tests. When I moved away from RSCP to Reef Crystals I had to start doses my tank weekly. Every salt is going to vary from batch to batch due to settling and the company's storage method.

    best type of salt

Unless my Red Sea Pro test kit is extremely faulty I have never ha a box of reef crystals come close to Red Sea Coral Pro calcium and magnesium level. H2Ocean is meant to be higher than RSCP.

    best type of salt

No…i will be ordering it soon. A 175 Gallon bucket runs $79.99 plus shipping. I'm sure it will be worth it. I spent a lot of time researching it. Instant ocean(purple box) is basic entry level salt Instant ocean reef crystals(orange box) has higher calcium and magnesium close to ocean...

    best type of salt

I personally used Reef Crystals but have had the best results from Red Sea Coral Pro. I left Red Sea Coral Pro due to cost but now I see that cost is worth growth. I have been doing a lot of research and intend on switching to D-D H2Ocean Magnesium Pro Plus. A lot of good reviews suggesting...

    Lazicki Playroom

Well my 8 month old takes up the other half of the basement but the other half is for my toys! Meaning my gun cleaning station and my three reef tanks. I have a 65 gallon LPS dominated system with a Australian Black Clown paired with a Photon Clown, the 65 also has a yellow tang in it. The 65...

    New guy on here

Thanks everyone… the tank really deserves more time than I give it but I am proud of its current look. I will be hunting for some new LPS and ricordia this weekend. The tank could use a nice blue or yellow coral.

    New guy on here

This is my 65 Gallon LPS Dominated tank. Out of my three tanks this one gets the most time and care put into it. My name is Tom. I am married and have a adventurous 8 month old boy, I enjoy golfing, shooting my various guns, bowling, and of course being a reefer. My other tanks which I don't...
