ϟ Crystal/James 90g Upgrade ϟ

Ok thanks, because I think my tank might have too much flow or something. I have a koralia 1400 and 750 and a pump (really weak pump, I don't know the flow rate). So that's why I was asking. It looks like your corals are all so happy.

No problem. Yours should be great but I guess if your pump isn't that strong maybe you're not getting the most of your flow? Lol I'm not sure..

When I had my 90 up and running my return was a rio 2500. And I had 3 K 1400. Had a fourth but it was kicking up the sand and needed a powerhead for mixing salt.

Love are we still upgrading to the 180? Have a date?

No date yet.. hoping to have it running sometime this year. Made some slat doors for the stand, need to build a canopy & paint everything. Sump is ready and tank needs to be plumbed.. probably going to do that soon. We'll need to get a new pump and we're going to buy led's for it too. We'll have to make a ton of water also lol and we'll need more salt to go with it. Fingers crossed for this year! :x:

Here's a pic after the doors were made. The wood pieces under them were just holding them up, wanted to get a quick pic before they were put on ;)

Our tank is doing great except we've got some nitrates that we're trying to remove. We have lost a few sps in the progress though :( We'll have a new test kit here tomorrow & a Reef Octopus Bio-Pellet Reactor here Thursday. Hoping to get rid of the nitrates soon! Can't have anymore coral dying.. it's too sad.

Our fish are happy and growing and the healthy corals are doing great. :D Our Goby though.. he has been hiding for over a week and we haven't seen him eat or sift sand. We have seen him a few times come out but he shoots right back into his cave :( Any idea what's wrong with him?

We also... sold our 180 Saturday. We are... planning on getting a brand new tank though! I don't want to jinx it so I'm not saying the size yet lol but it will be this year.

Oh yeah we also had a small colony and a small frag of ORA Hyacinth Birdsnest... but the guy we bought them from, his helper didn't put icepacks in the packages that day and everyone who received them basically got cooked coral. :pooh: We did get a full refund though! We put them in our tank and the color just sloughed off then the crabs all had a big overnight dinner. They were going to be so pretty!! :grumble:

How big was your hammer when you got it, and how big is it now?

The branching or the wall?

I assume you mean he branching because we just got the wall. We started with a 1" head and a baby head. I'd say now we have 8 big and 8 babies :) We got it June of last year.

Wow! I've had my frogspawn for about 3 and it hasn't grown any new heads whatsoever. I just got a yellow tip torch, hopefully it grows quickly. You tank is amazing, by the way.

We started with 1 frogspawn head the same time we got the hammer.. it is pretty big now :) Love the neon tip torches, one of my favorites in our tank. Thank you so much
