i saw this video 1000gal fish tank aquarium DIY - YouTube and i want to know if this well work? the video say the size of the tank is 8'x4'x4' fish tank made from plywood 2 by 4's and acrylic

I've seen quite a few build threads for plywood tanks but, I've seen just as many either end up leaking or the plywood ending up bowing out. I've thought about it in the past but, I won't risk 1000g of water on my floor.

I would consult an engineer because 1000 gallons of water is enough to cause significant damage to your house.

My grandmother had a 750 gallon plywood tank built in her living room years ago, when I was a kid...and eventually, it always leaked.

After it’s set up I wonder what the monthly maintenance costs would be?

You have to use some thing like pond coat to make it water tight. Must make sure that water can not come in contact with the wood at all or it will leak someday.
