29g fuge build ?

Tonight I'm going to be turning a 29g tank into a new fuge for my upgrade to a 50g DT. Would it be ok to remove the plactic capping from the top and bottom of the 29g without it blowing out when I put water in it? I added additional support to the stand and I don't think I'll be able to fit the 29 in there.

I wouldn't risk it.

I measured this morning and it's 1/2" too wide to fit w/ the 2x4's I added. I'll have to take out 2 of the supports and notch them out 1/2". Won't be an issue and probably much easier than removing the aquarium bracing.

Funny you ask, I heard recently on a a local board that you should not remove them.

Yeah, they are there for a reason. I wouldn't remove them.

I removed the 2x4's and now the tank fits just fine.
