911, algae madness!!!

Nasty purple/black algae problems bloomed, tank set up about a month, cycle well over. I'm getting purple algae all over my rocks and sand, on the sand it kinda looks to be turning black. My water tests pretty good, nitrates maybe 10. I have prob a 30G fuge but it is jam packed w/ live rock, would I be better off losing some rock and going more algae scrapper/macro algae? My ro/di readings are 3tds. Gonna try link some pics. Fuge has almost NO algae.

Looks like cyano. Siphon out as much as you can and step up your water changes

Looks like a cyano bloom and since your tank is relatively new seems perfectly normal. It should go away when bacteria reaches an equilibrium in your tank. Give it some time. Meanwhile you can siphon the stuff out with water changes.

This look like enough live rock for a 125 display tank? Gotta be 90+ lbs, have prob another 90 in sump, better off losing rock for chaeto farm? Have 55G almost ready for 40% water change, new refractometer arrives monday. Thanks again
