A Nice Surprise

So my girlfriend was scraping some hair algae off of the main live rock I used to seed my tank, and what did we find? Pink coralline! It's actually orange but the actinic lighting makes it super fluorescent pink. Quite surprised because the rock had only purple coralline on it. Good stuff!

That's awesome. I have a few patches, but nothing like that. I wish I had more. Lucky! :D

I totally thought it was something toxic because it was masked by all the hair algae that was scrubbed away. Looks like fluorescent paint.

Could just be that the HA was blocking the light to the coraline. I bet now that it is getting light again, it will go back to its normal color.
