Adding live rock after having fish

ok this seem like a dumb question (like all of my questions)...but i want to add more like rock to my tank. i already have a few fish in there?

Would it be ok to get more from my LFS and add it?

How much can i add at a time?

What would be the effects and would my fish be ok?

if its fully cured, you wont have many problems, and you can add about 10-20lbs. at a time and not see any effects from it, but it must be fully cured

just make sure it is fully cured. Many LFS and online retailers say it is cured and there is die off during the shipping process or just a lack of LFS care. I'd pretty much put it in a bucket for a couple days and check your test kits

And go slowly. Even with cured rock, I wouldn't risk adding a ton at once. If you want to buy it all at once, just add it slowly while leaving the rest in a rubbermaid tub filled with water in the meantime.
