I'm setting up my first saltwater tank (28g nano cube). I added live sand last Sunday and went back to pick up the rock yesterday. After the guy had pulled out 16lbs and compared that amount of rock to their 28g display tank he thought 30lbs of rock was going to be way too much and would pretty much fill the tank. I trust everyone at this LFS and just wanted to get another opinion. Since it's my first tank I only plan to add a couple of fish and some CUC and a few corals. He said cutting back on the rock with a small stocking of the tank should be fine.

General guideline is 1-2lbs of rock per gallon. I would add more rock.
