Aiptasia?

Reefing newb
Is this an aiptasia anemone? The angle on these pictures isn't very good but I can turn the rock around if I need to.

Just noticed you are just starting out also.

How old is the tank? Has it cycled yet? If not, dont add the shrimp yet and wait for the tank to cycle
 
Yeah. I've had the live rock in since Sunday. I think I have a Smith's Damselfish, the LFS said it was a chromis and I needed something to produce ammonia since the rock was completely cured. I read one here that people have mixed pickling lime with water and just squirted it on it. Would this work?
 
I've not had great success with that method. It tends to come back. Aiptasia X has been the most effective thing I've found so far.
 
One just popped up in my fuge. The last one I had I killed it with boiling water and then sucked it up w/ a syringe. I'm thinking about heating up a metal rod red hot and poking it.
