algae id

im not really sure what type of algae this is it looks dark purple in my dt and this is the only rock it is on and there are only the three spots shown. i have not tried to touch it but it looks rather poofy. (kinda thick) should i try to get rid of it or will it be fine?

You should see if it comes off. Although it kinda looks like coraline to me.

I was kinda hesitant saying coraline because in the second picture it looks kind of powdery. Although it probably has something to do with the camera, light etc.

it seems hard with kind of a slimy coating. i used my nail to scratch it which then peeled the purple part off ant there is a white hard thing underneath it... could just be the rock though.
