so did waste fifty bucks on grass clippings?? here is a copy of the e-mail i sent
and the responce i got back

hello
the order i received from you seemed a little off
but never having marine plants I'm not sure.
I thought it odd that there is no roots
but ether way i planted the order in the
fuge after reading you instructions and today
the greens seem to be turning white?
I stole my wifes gro light and keep it on the
tank about 9 or 10 hours a night when the main
tank lights are off
mark
(Algae doesn;t have roots, that is reserved only for true plants.)

Its pretty common for the leafy stuff to die off after shipping and then it will grow back. But if you got the brown algae, you might have some trouble keeping them because they require super high lighting conditions. I would also put some rocks in there, not all species of algae grow in the sand
