Algae on my Algae

I am having a Algae problem in my 80G saltwater tank. I purchased a Refugium and have live rock rubble and CHAETOMORPHA in it to help with the Algae problem. It's been going for about 2 weeks now and I am seeing brown algae on the sides but it is also growing on the Chaetomorpha. Will this kill the Chaetomorpha? How do i stop this from happening? should I increase the water flow? Right now the only flow is the pump that pumps water into the refugium, should I add a power head to get a higher flow?

Sounds like you need more flow. The chaeto should move gently in the water. You can rinse the algae off in the sink -- just take the chaeto and give it a quick rinse to break the algae free. Does the chaeto have enough light?

I think I have plenty of light, I have two of the FugeRay LED lights I got from eBay and it's as bright or brighter than the tank. I'll add a power head and get the flow up. No problem rinsing the saltwater Chaeto in freshwater tap water?
