Hey I feel a little slow in asking this but does corraline grow in any different colors other than red? my 55 has been set up for a year now and the only stuff i have is green its hard and I have to scrape it off with a razor blade I only remove it from the front and sides of the tank there is a little red in spots but very small spots??? I use ro water have a decent clean up crew for a predator tank if I restock the cleaners often.

White, purple, green... If the stuff you're scraping off is hard and circular, it's probably coralline.

Yes, coraline comes in a few diffrent colors...like biff said, coraline usually comes in little circles an keeps growing until the circles start merging into each other as they grow...

Can you take a picture of what you're talking about?

I've coraline start like that.I dont know if just some other type of algae or how caralline begins.
I guess it could go either way.
