All over the bottom of my tank

I have this stringy stuff all over the bottom of the tank and some in the liverock. Cannot get picture. From 1" - 2" long. Thin as human hair with a little nub on the tip. They seem to be able to hide back in the base if the area is disturbed. Probably 60 of them on the floor.
