anemone stuck to rock.

Hello I have a hair algea problem, well and realy bad one. I need to get an anemone off a rock but he will not come loss. Any ideas?

Take a butter knife and press the backside of the blade ( the flat side ) and press it against the anemones foot.An old credit card works too.

Make sure you;re careful not to rip the foot, use the butter knife but be very gentle and patient. It takes a while to get it off the rock.

Good point because if you do rip the foot there is no hope.

i also agree with reefroockie. One rock with algae is not worth stressing out an anemone, especially since its attached and currently happy. Just clean get rid of the algae on all other rocks for now.

Ok I will not move him/her. I will just clean all the other rocks. I got about 25 to 30 pound of live rock for free as well as a buch of other stuff to include a clown fish, lawnmower blemmy, two anenomes, starfish, snails small hermits, two cucumber, RO/DI unit, power heads basically everything but the tank and stand which was like a 30 gal acryilc tank. The only thing she wanted money for was a refracotometer which was $20.00.
