Reefing newb
we have a pink condy anenemony and he has gotten much pinker than when we got him but his tips are no longer darker purple. is it bad he is loosing his tips although gaining more color overall?

Gaining color is usually a good thing in a nem. If they are loosing color, then you start to worry. I would not worry about him unless he is displaying other signs like constantly wandering the tank.
