Ryan, instead of using all-purpose flour. Try using some king arthurs bread flour, it contains a lot more gluten which is favorable when making pizza dough. Another flour that is good is Tipo "00" flour. However it is hard to find.

Yeah Ive used high gluten pizza dough flour before but its expensive and not easy to find in a regular grocery. The all purposed flour works great and I dont make enough bread to stuff in a hummingbirds ass so no point in keeping an extra type of flour in the house. When I eventually open my pizza shop or restaurant Ill probably switch though.

    Cool man.

I love making homemade pies. It's fun to experiment.

When I build a house I want to make a brick, wood burning oven.

Soon, I am going to try and make some deep dish pizza's.

Ive never made a home made one. But that is because we have too many great pizza joints around here to get pizza from.

    Did find this though http://www.chewonthatblog.com/2009/02/09/step-by-step-homemade-chicago-style-pizza/

When I make pizza, it is with the Jiffy crust that you just add water to. It is cheap and easy. My wife loves it but I would prefer to order. But like many things, the wallet makes the descision for you:grumble:

BJ try that recipe I posted! You can make a pie for about $3 and its 100% better than take out. The cost goes up a little if you use my sauce recipe but for a long time I used Contatdina Pizza Sauce and its very good too. I just dolled it up with a little extra garlic and used it right out of the can.

Now are you saying better than pizza hut and dominoes or better than a real pizza place? Because there is a huge differance there

1 plastic jar of Prego or Ragau (had the 2nd choice tonight)
12-18 frozen pre-cooked meatballs (from Costco)
1 box of regular or thin Spaghetti
    1 box frozen garlic toast

Cook as directions state. Throw together and serve!!!

    Sheesh dcan :frustrat::mrgreen:

Next time add some fresh garlic some basil and make your own meatballs!!!

    Speaking of meatballs

    Take 1lb ground beef
Mix in one egg, about half a cup of parmisian shaker cheese.(you know the powder stuff in the plastic jar), some italian seasoning
Form into meat balls the size you want.

Brown them in a pan. You dont have to cook them all the way through. Then add them to your sauce and simmer them for an hour or so. Just to let all the seasonings blend well together.

Use them on buns for meatball sandwiches or on you pasta.

The only complaint is that they are a bit small. I like to have larger balls.
