I failed Kobayashi Maru
Anyone know if the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate tests for this kit works for freshwater? I'm about to cycle my freshwater, and didn't feel like getting a separate test kit just yet.

I have no idea.I know of their kits say salt and fresh both.

I dont think they will, I know that you cant go from fresh to salt and would assume that you cant go the other way as well.

Some kits are for both. Look at the cards that came with it. It should say on them.

salt and fresh typically have different color scales. At least that is what I see from the easy dunk and watch test kits.

The test cards say fw and sw for all except the ph.

well then you can use them for freshwater as long as you dont need to test for pH

Unless you are keeping ciclids or discus you shouldnt need to test ph for freshwater.
