Aquatic Life Factory Preset Timers

06:00 - 08:00 no lights on
08:00 - 17:00 Full on (white & blue)
17:00 - 20:00 Blue only
20:00 - 06:00 Moonlight LEDs only

Question: Is it OK to leave the Moonlight LEDs on all night long like that?

I have an Algae Scrubber in the stand running 2 x 23w 2700 CFLs from 17:00 - 09:00 (all night long)

So I cover 24/7 lighting between the DT and the AS.

Just curious about the moonlight LEDs.

Yep it's fine to leave the moonlights on all night. I run my moonlights 24/7.

I have the 72" 12 bulb AquaticLife fixture on my 180 and I didn't like their preprogrammed settings so I manually over-rode it with my own times that worked out better with my schedule. I just prefer to not have the moons on all night, but there is nothing wrong with it if you like it.

I have an aquatic life and I don't leave my moonlights on all night. I noticed that the CUC gets MUCH more active when the lights are completely off, and the peppermint shrimp I used to have wouldn't start roaming the tank until it was completely dark. I'd give your tank at least few hours of total darkness each night. JMO though.

My moonlights come are on for about four hours after I go to sleep, and then they go off.
