Are Blennies jumpers?

I've been considering a common Algae Blenny for my tank for awhile now and may pick one up this weekend. One question just now "jumped" into my mind - will a blenny typically jump out of a tank if it is not tightly covered? I leave one side of my 55 with no cover at all to improve air exchange. A few articles I've read on the fish suggest they're prone to jump. :^:

All fish are jumpers and have the capability to jump out of an open top, exspecially when they're scared, however, I have owned 2 both in an open top 30 gal and neither of them has jumped. One of them has been in there for about a year.

But to answer your question.No.You usually dont have to worry about blennys going carpet surfing.

Lawnmower blennies are not normally jumpers.
