attaching a shroom

hey guys i didnt know where to put this...
so i have some green nylon garden mesh.. can i use this to secure down the shroom with rubber bands and such? its most amount of breathability ive seen yet and its pretty strong... but is nylon ok for the tank...

I steal the wifes nylons on those rare occasions when I need some mechanical filtration.Cheaper than filter socks.:D
