Attack of the Diatoms!

diatoms have invaded my tank cycle. I understand that this is part of it, but its growing VERY fast. It started on the sand, hit the live rock (looks like brown weeds) and is now on the glass. Should I let it stay to so the tank can cycle or should I clean?

shouldnt start any tank without powerheads. get some asap. eventually it will go away though.

Yeah you need some movement in there.

Get a Korallia #3 at the minimum, if you can swing it. Put it on one side facing down the tank lenghtwise and a little downward towards the sandbed, still rippling the surface. Well worth it.

+1.. I upped my flow and my diatoms went away much faster..
