Back to Costa Rica

    I'm going back to Costa Rica in a few days for almost 10 days. My ATO is in place and I have a caretaker & a backup caretaker. There is no TV or computer where I am going --a person needs to unplug at least once a year! My tank should take care of itself. I just need someone to feed, empty the skimmer cup and fill the ATO water reservoir once a week. Did I leave anything out ?

    Good point. I've taken my computer battery backup and hooked only the heater and pump into it. If the outage lasts more than a days while I'm gone then I guess its all over with. In 15 years here I had only one outage of more than a few hours. Hurricane Isabel: we had no power for 3 days. Although I live 5 minutes from Washington DC, I have not planned for the terrorist nuke scenario.
