Sorry to post it, but this has been a bad week. Just need to get it off my chest.

Last Tuesday, November 27, I lost my 6 1/2 year old Bernese Mt Dog. I am so heart broken its not even funny. He was the sweetest animal that ever lived. Completely devastating.

Monday night one of my Chromis jumped. The three chromis were my first fish. Over a year I had them. Now I'm down to two. I know that soon I'll be down to one since they normally don't do well in even numbers. Guess I'll be posting an up date to this in the near future.

This is such a bad time of year! I've never been much of a holiday person. No real reason why that I know of. I just never got into the spirit that much. Too much fluff for me. Now I've lost my best friend and a good companion. Hard to put on a brave face for the wife and kids.

I'm so sorry, it's so hard to lose a pet, even one as small as a chromis. But the pair you have left might be fine. I lost a chromis moving earlier this year, but two I have left are actually doing great together

I am so sorry NF. The thought of losing one of my cats is devestating to me, and I am so sorry you had to go through this with your dog. It can be hard to put on a brave face, and sometimes letting the ones that love you comfort you is more help than you would think. I'll bet your wife and kids are greiving too. Hang in there. In a 90g tank your two chromis might be just fine - I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear that. There are times being the man of the house can be very difficult. I know you are hurting but keep your chin up for the kiddos. I feel for ya.

That sucks, Non. It doesn't matter how small...it's always sad to lose any pets.

I'm sorry, Nonfamous. :( Pets are our family members. They are our kids. It is never easy to lose one.

If you don't mind me asking, how did your dog die? Two of my aunts had Bernese mountain dogs, and both of them passed away before they were 5 years old due to a specific type of cancer that occurs with very high frequency in that breed.

It's sucks losing pets. I just lost my six line because he got his head stuck in a piece of barnacle that I just put in there last week. I was gone only an hour, I freed him but he didn't make it through the night, my emerald crab died as well, I hope naturally because my chocolate chip star was on top of him trying top eat him. Normally it was the other way around. Losing fish due to my own negligence really makes me derek like poop.

    sorry about the lose

Hey Grozier, that might have been a molt that your CCS was eating - my emeralds have been molting like crazy lately. And their molts are really freaky looking because they are intact and look exactly like the crab.

He's molted a couple times, this wasn't a molt. I moved some live rock he was on and noticed he didn't move but didn't think nothing of it until I seen the star over him.
