Barnacle in Torch Coral? What to do..

We found what we think is a barnacle in 1 of the heads of our torch coral.. we have 2 of these in one head! It's preventing the tentacles from opening up that surround this thing.

Do we leave it or do we try to get rid of it. If we need to get rid of it, what's the best way to do so without harming our torch?

I assume if we had a good camera.. it would look like this up close.

Normally they are harmless, but if you notice them irritating the coral, I'd remove them. Can you pull them off (by the shell) with tweezers?

We would probably leave them.. but since the torch won't extend in that area I think we want them gone. Not sure about tweezers, haven't tried.. maybe we'll try and see if they come off.
