Base Rock and Live Rock

    I was going to get all live rock, but now I'm hearing that I should get base rock and some live rock.Should I get base rock cure It and then get live Rock?Or cure the LR and BR all at once?I am just starting my aquarium.I'm filling It with RO/DI water now and will only be filling It half way.

    Cure it all at the same time, if your not getting cured Live Rock.

    I would cure it all at the same time.. the live rock will seed the base to make it also live over time..

    Its also much cheaper to get mostly dry base rock and just a few lbs of live rock.

    i used 65lbs base rock and about 5 lbs live rock,had my tank going for 2 months and got coraline growing on the dry rock
