Bio Cube

I have a 29 bio cube. I also have the protein skimmer made for the bio cube. The problem is the output of the foam is nowhere near enough to fill the skimmer cup. Any help on a quick fix to produce more foam? Also... I am not a big fan of the Bio balls. Has anyone ever taken them out of the bio cube and filled that section up with a Deep sand bed and some live rock, instead of the bio balls?

i would just put rock in there i would be to afraid of the sand getting to the pump

You might try a bigger air pump to run your skimmer.

Use live rock rubble instead of the bioballs. Most LFS will give away live rock rubble for free since no one wants to buy useless pebbles.
