black sand

Black sand looks really awesome but, remember everything like detrius and waste will start showing up after a while and will change the look of your black sand

yeah it seems silly i was gonna go bare bottom but you know

its just a jbj 12 gallon open top for softy frags.and a few tiny inverts.but now it going in the bedroom so it has to be pretty

The black sand will definitely make the colors in your corals pop though. And IMO will look better than a bare bottom

hey brian thanks for the input.was just looking at some pics of a mushroom tank with black sand looked awesome.i really want to avoid metal halide in this tank though.i thought white sand would reflect more light around the tank.but this is really gonna be her baby.wanna do just a simple frag set up but its getting more and more indepth
