Black spots on clownfish

I've noticed that both my clownfish are starting to get a couple black spots on them. What could be causing it? I read maybe their getting stung by my zoas?

If theyre trying to host a frogspawn or hammer or similar, could be that theyre geting stung. Mine had that too.

I only have a zoa, candy cane, toadstool n colt in their. I just put a hammer in uesterday

When did they firts appear?

Probably about a week ago. They're still happy and eating like crazy

Could be your colt, then. Either way, they'll be fine.

It is likely black ich, but as long as they are still eating I wouldnt get worked up about it.

Doubtful. Most people never see that worm in their tanks.

I shouldve asked, are they "tattooed" into the clowns or actual black specks like marine ich?

It can't spread to the other fish? Yea they haven't changed their personalities at all

Yes the parasite can be spread to the other fish, but as long as you dont have very delicate fish I wouldnt expect it to become a problem. Just be sure to keep your fish stress free by keeping up your water quality, feed a quality food, dont overstock etc.

What fish do you have in your tank?

I have the 2 clowns a mystery wrasse and a pinkbar goby
