blue hermit question

i have one blue hermit in my tank... as far as i can see he has all his legs and pinchers but on the sand there are legs and pinchers from him??? do hermits molt? i dont kow whats going on

Hermits do molt. He's a growing boy. ;)

Oo ok. Should I take it out? I don't have any fish and a small cuc and two small frags?

It doesn't matter. You can take it out if you can easily reach it, but it won't hurt to leave it in.
