blue linkia dying

i got my starfish on wed....and wend i was trying to put him in the tank...he was expose to air....could that be killing it....he looks all twisted and skinny...has not move.is he dying should i take him out...or wait..i has a red linkia but its allways moving i got him 2 months ago...and has been fine..

He might be dying. How did you acclimate him? He may be shocked do to the difference in water perameters as well. Mine went through something similar when I first got him as well. Also, mine touches air all the time, he darn near climbs out the tank on some days. Just keep a close eye on him for a few days, maybe put an algae tab under him to see if he will start to feed on it as well.

i let the bag flot for 30 min..and then add him...

Thats probably why, you need to do some sort of drip acclimatization for fish and inverts. Especially inverts they're more sensitive to salinity changes.
